Jeffrey Cheah School of Medicine and Health Sciences Retreat 2010

The members of School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Monash University Sunway which include the academics and administrative staffs have their retreat in Ancasa All Suites Resort & Spa, Port Dickson dated 24th-27th September, 2010. Retreat is an improtant yearly event which provides goldern oppurtunity for us to think over our faults. A time to review our past and make relevant adjustments. For the entire year, staff members would have gone through many experiences in their teaching and research which include series of failures and successes. Throughout the journey, there are some good and some bad news to be shared. Retreat gives a chance for us to pause, to take note of, appraise and to reconsider the varieties of actions and remedies.

I am proud to be the member of Monash University, as a full campus of Monash University, they always provide the distintive international experience, with excellence in teaching and research. It is always the mission of the campus to encourage dynamic community of scholars comprising staffs and students, supported by collegial processess and aspiring to the intellectual achievement.
Some of the interesting activities for the retreat were flag pole, building blocks and stepping stones. All these challenging activities provide us the opportunity to release tensions and enhance the bonding among colleagues. Through the activities of team building, we understand each other better and learn to build up trust among human being.

The Monash staffs strongly agree that the retreat were packed with well-planned activities. We actively involved with the evaluation of teaching, learning and the conduct of research. Though the staff members were busy with the discussion of planning and strategies, we still managed to mingle with co-workers and enjoyed the outdoor activities.This unique experience will definitely help to create dynamic, focused staff members and remain as sweet memories forever.
